Australia Visa

Student Visa Subclass 500

In order to study in this most beautiful country, you need to obtain an Australian student visa. This visa helps the students to pursue full time education course and training in the country. With this visa, a student is eligible to live in Australia unless the course is completed.

While the online course is not applicable here, you should enroll in the course and have an offer letter from the designated college, education provider or university.

So how do you get a student visa? The Department of Home Affairs should be satisfied with the evidence and proof of your authenticity before granting the visa. Here are the basic requirements you must fulfil:

How to Apply

For the application process, you need written confirmation of your enrolment i.e. CoE from the respective education provider. Next, the visa is prepared, lodged and granted once when above mentioned requirements are met.

Depending on the duration of your course, you can stay in Australia where 40 hours per fortnight are given for work. The point here to keep in mind is that you can only work when the session has started and not before that.

Furthermore, if you wish to change your course to a higher level, you can do it anytime. But switching down to lower-level course will demand a new visa application on the Australian Qualification Framework. What’s more, you can study two or three courses at the same time which is known as study packaging.
